About Chris

Chris Southard – My Story

Chris Southard, founder and owner of CDS Media Solutions, has always been interested in capturing and preserving memories. As a college student at West Virginia University, he worked with University Relations to capture and share happenings at the University. There, he founded Webcasting Services at WVU to broadcast university events for the public. He also worked with WVU’s Web Services, Television Services, and Photography. Chris also worked at Ohio State University where he initiated the Ohio Union Photography Service, covering student events. He also worked as Technical Marketing Coordinator, providing support and marketing for all events held at the Ohio Union.

Now, Chris provides high quality scanning and photo organizing services to clients in the Cincinnati area through his business, CDS Media Solutions. Since 2013, he has been a member of The Photo Managers, an organization that provides education and support to professional photo organizers.  Chris is a certified member and has served on their Advisory Board. He holds a B.A. in Sports Management from West Virginia University.
